Aesthetic approach

Cosmetic restorations require careful consideration of the details that contribute to their intended appearance. Our technicians consider shade, morphology, characterisation and finishing as part of the laboratory process, working from the clinician's prescription and information supplied for each individual case.

Shade

Shade information is an important component of aesthetic restorative cases. Ceramiart provides shade-taking support at the laboratory, while digital case submissions can include prescribed shade information, photographs and other relevant supporting material to help communicate the requirements of the restoration.

Form and morphology

Tooth form and morphology are considered alongside shade and characterisation. Our experienced technicians combine traditional laboratory skills with digital design capabilities, allowing the technical approach to be tailored according to the restoration prescribed and the requirements of the individual case.

Characterisation

Natural-looking characterisation involves consideration of individual restorative details rather than a single standardised approach. Our technicians use their laboratory experience to assess the technical requirements of each case and apply appropriate finishing and characterisation according to the prescription.

Digital support

Digital dentistry provides additional tools for cosmetic cases, including CAD/CAM design, scanning, milling and 3D printing. These workflows can support detailed treatment planning and communication while maintaining the technical input of experienced laboratory professionals.

Smile design

Digital workflows can support treatment planning and smile design by helping clinicians visualise and plan cases using digital information. Our laboratory can support these workflows as part of a wider treatment-planning process, based on the clinical requirements and information provided by the treating team.

Technical collaboration

Our technicians work closely with clinicians to understand the technical requirements of aesthetic cases. Clear prescriptions, photographs, scans and other relevant information can help the laboratory team understand the intended restoration and manage the case efficiently.

Individual results

Every cosmetic restoration is prescribed for an individual patient. Our role is to provide the technical design and laboratory production required by the clinician, combining digital capabilities with established craftsmanship and attention to detail.
